Best of Both
The Cocoon Aero is an amalgamation of two very popular models, the Cocoon and the Kyte. It can be put up in 20 minutes because of its very simple frame system and it also features the very popular canopy/awning taken from the Holtkamper Kyte. Visually, the Cocoon Aero is striking; fitted with the popular Kyte canopy, its high, arched openings give users the maximum contact with their surrounding environment.
The canopy/awning is part of the one piece roof structure which makes for a quick and easy set up, this roof runs seamlessly into roof extensions which have been taken from the Kyte. These will firstly, shield the windows and side walls from direct sunlight and rain and secondly, prevent the side walls from getting too dirty as rain doesn’t run down the walls. This is creating a shadow over the inner roof, which prevents the sun from further heating the air inside the trailer tent, leaving you with a cool and comfortable living environment. beneficial as dirt combined with moisture is the biggest cause of mould forming in tent fabric.
The Cocoon Aero is also equipped with the Membrane Airco System which creates a consistent and comfortable environment inside the trailer tent by using a double layered roof to keep the internal temperature regulated.
Sleeping in the Aero
The Cocoon Aero features a large double bed double bed with slatted base for comfort. In the bedroom area there are windows with mosquito netting that can be opened. There are modular extensions available, such as the children’s adventure tent or Kids tent extensions with toilet compartment, this will sleep up to three more people, allowing you to tailor the unit to suit your specific needs.
Storage for all your equipment is no trouble, the trailer body is empty space to be used for your belongings. By lifting up the bed base you gain access to the massive 1000 litre lug gage space. There is even further storage space under the soft top when the tent is folded away. The Aero also features the Holtkamper Pack-N-Go System. This means that when the trailer tent is folded away the storage space under the bed can still be accessed.
The Cocoon Aero has two kitchen unit options available; one unit which will secure to the A-frame of the trailer, the aluminium Base Kitchen, this can easliy be wheeled around into position under the canopy. The second option is for a fixed unit at the rear of the trailer, this would be a Kyte Masterclass kitchen. Both the kitchen units feature a 3 burner, gas hob with a stylish glass plate, a practical (optional) water supply and a fitted fridge.
There are two different chassis options available for the Cocoon Aero, the standard chassis and the MTT chassis. The MTT chassis is used for mounting Kyte Masterclass kitchen. Both options are AL-KO braked chassis, with shock absorbers and 14” wheels to ensure a safe and stable towing experience. There are heavy duty steadies to support the trailer when being used and for those who are a little more adventurous, it is possible to order an off-road edition with larger wheels for extra ground clearance, this is particularly suited for use with off road vehicles.
Holtkamper trailer tents can be erected and packed away by air pressure. This new “WindForce® System” is certainly a milestone in the development of trailer tents.
Future oriented technology
A quantum leap in the development of trailer tents. The Holtkamper “Wind®Force” is a revolutionary system, our trailer tents can now be erected and packed away by air pressure. Within a couple of minutes, the groundsheet and the tent are unfolded and located on the right spot. For generations of trailer tent owners, this long desired self erecting system, has now been implemented. This new “Wind®Force System” is certainly a milestone in the development of trailer tents and has been protected by international patents. Planning to move frequently from campsite to campsite? With the “Wind®Force System” this is an (almost) effortless process. Only air pressure and vacuum, day-to-day physics, have been used to perform the job. The Holtkamper Membrane Airco System, which supports insulation and ventilation, (located in the roof of the tent), will be erected and packed away together with the tent. This new Holtkamper “Wind®Force System” is different from the system used in “Igloo” tents, where air tubes are used in combination with high air pressure. This system, originating from France, has been imported to the Netherlands, some 35 years ago by Holtkamper.
A “one person job”
Maybe you are a one parent family, or a person with physical limitations? With the “Wind®Force System” one person is able to perform the job easily. Families, with young children, can now spend time on the children, rather than erecting the tent. A Holtkamper trailer tent with the “Wind®Force System” can be erected (orpacked away) in only a few minutes! Ideal for a quick weekend camping trip.
The rain remains outside
During the process of erecting or packing away the tent, no water is able to enter the tent and the remote control can be operated from inside the car. Thanks to the advanced engineering this can be achieved without the use of poles or guy ropes. Even pegs are not required for an overnight camping. Tent and groundsheet will be unfolded and located at the right spot, without a wrinkle. Packing away the tent, complete with groundsheet, is also done with the a push of a button.
